A real Sioux village in Occitania!
A real Indian village in the Alps of Cuneo?
It is not only an inventive but also a funny idea to create a real Indian village in the center of the Alps of Cuneo. A far historical connection proves the presence of American natives coming from the Franco-piedmont troops who were fighting against the Iroquois in Canada in 1769. Some natives followed the troops who returned from America and settled down in the alpine valleys of the Piedmont.

A real Sioux village
"Wakantanka" is the name of the village and in the language of the natives it means "Great Spirit". This village was built to scale according to the old traditions of the natives. It consists in 11 tepees which offer overnights stay possibilities for tourists and fans of history. The core of the village is the tepee of the council. This was the tent in which the chieftain united the tribe to talk about important decisions. Today this tent is a meeting point for the guests.
"Tepee and Breakfast©" a new type of holiday
Thanks to the great ideas of the creators of the village this new and unique formula offers to everyone a funny way of spending their holidays in a tepee. The concept contains overnight stay inside the tepee and breakfast in front of it. Enjoy this new way of entertainment together with friends, family and groups!
